Overview of this map collection

The Game Maps are how the map of Metroid 2 was constructed in the games actual programming. Some rooms are on one Game Map
and some are in another. Heres how it works.

The Game Maps are for use in exploring secret worlds and should be used in tandem with my Metroid 2 map, as it has all the
room numbers on it. It would also be a good idea to pick up my earlier Secret World maps which have some text that isnt
covered in this collection.

Here are the gamemaps with corresponding secret world maps to refer to

Game Map 1 = Bitmap 4
Game Map 5 = Secret World 1 (Bitmap 1)
Game Map 6 = Bitmap 2
Game Map 7 = Bitmap 3

The Game Maps will not tell you how to get through each world and indeed some rooms may not be accessable via the secret
worlds. The maps will, however, give you an idea as to where you are when you explore the secret worlds. For instance,
if you were to access a secret world from somewhere in the Sewer System, then you would open up its corresponding game
map (Game Map 6) and be able to tell where you are going.

The Game Maps can also be used with Metedit 2 to edit the world of Metroid 2. They will show you where each of the rooms
are and will also show you some rooms that did not appear in the final version of the game. Most of these are fill rooms
or rooms that are used to fill up the empty space on the map. They are shown as blank squares on the Game Maps. If the
fill room is identified (it is known what the room looks like) then either a description or a sketch of the room is shown.

Well, there are a few rooms that have yet to be identified in these maps. These are marked with question marks or are
mentioned on the map. I'm sure some skilled SW hunters should be able to find out what and where they are! If you find
anything new, e-mail JesseD or myself about where it is.

Hope you have fun using these maps and have fun with Metroid 2!

Dont give up the hunt!

Until next time
Captain Commando
